Industrial Design Advisory Board

About our Advisory Board

The Industrial Design Advisory Board  (idAb) is a collection of alumni and friends working together to help shape and support the Virginia Tech Industrial Design program. Through advice, advancement, and advocacy, idAb seeks to ensure students are supported and prepared for professional success. The board meets six times throughout the year with program representatives as advisors to the growing nature of the profession.  Board members organize mentorship to students, alumni communications and events, and student scholarships.

If you would like to work with students as a mentor, idAb recruits senior capstone mentors in the fall for spring semester, as well as single design review jurors, you can contact the board through their email. We hope our community will please consider giving a donation to idAb! Funds will be used for student scholarships and awards, resource donations to the Industrial Design program, networking opportunities, workshops, and alumni events.

You can follow current activities on LinkedIn or the idAb webpage.
