Austin graduated from the Virginia Tech Industrial Design program (VTID) in 2017. His time in VTID was one of personal growth and he especially cherishes memories of working in the pottery studio. As a student he contributed by founding and leading the university’s award-winning design journal, serving as Student Ambassador for VTID, and working as a Teaching Assistant for Summer Academy design courses. He is a recipient of the Walter and Helen Beal Scholarship and the Ron Kemnitzer Library Award.

After graduating he worked as Design Lead at Natalist, a consumer health company, which he helped launch and grow until it was acquired in 2021. He is now a student in the Master in Design Engineering program at Harvard University.
