Doris H. Kincade is a professor in fashion merchandising and design, specializing in apparel manufacturing, quality apparel products and retail strategy. Her award-winning research focuses on the history of the North Carolina textile industry and the organizational forces within the textile/apparel pipeline that have shaped its growth. She has received multiple awards for teaching and is a prominent academic author, known for authoring, and co-authoring, comprehensive industry textbooks such as "Merchandising of Fashion Products" and "Merchandising Math: A Managerial Approach," which focus on the entire textile/apparel pipeline from ideation to retail sales.
