When asked why historic preservation mattered to her, Lancaster said because it "supports the everyday places that give a community its identity." Her work at Virginia Main Street is a true passion and way to give back to the community. Using design to help communities strengthen and sustain their historic downtowns. She also enjoys discovering each community's unique character.
