Yaoyi Zhou
- Assistant Professor
With educational backgrounds in both architecture and behavioral science, Yaoyi’s research focuses on the human-centered design for workplace and learning environments. He studies emerging design concepts and their impacts on human social interaction and social wellbeing. Together with Jinting Yang, AIA, Yaoyi co-founded YUZO Design (www.yuzodesign.com) in 2019 and has worked on more than twenty projects in China including planning for several company headquarters campuses as well as design for manufacturing spaces, offices, dining halls, hotels, bars and restaurants. He has won nationally recognized awards such as Ones to Watch Award from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Best Student Paper Award at the Environment and Design Association (EDRA) annual conference, and has received multiple scholarships and awards issued by Cornell University from 2016-2021.
